The primary purpose of this position is to serve on the personal staff for support of the 688 Cyber Wing Command Staff
Duties
Duty 1: Enhances Commander's effectiveness through comprehensive support and coordination
Duty 2: Serves as Commander's Action Group liaison.
Duty 3: Initiates, oversees, and/or assists with 688 CW special projects and tasks
Duty 4: Manages and oversees 688 CW awards program.
Requirements

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Security: Position is designated special-sensitive, and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- PCS expenses are NOT authorized and WILL NOT be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.

Qualifications
This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11 duties for the "Administrative and Management" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To administer and direct programs and processes; interpret and implement policies. Provide highly technical assistance to functional managers, subordinate organizations, and personnel to achieve optimum growth of productivity and establish tools, standards, and factors for the credible determination and effective distribution of manpower resources. Provide advice, support, and training to senior leadership, management analysts, and serviced organizations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1: In-depth knowledge of oral, written, and visual communication concepts, principles, policies, practices, methods, applications, techniques, standards, and trends including correct usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format; in order to research, plan, develop, and deliver speeches and presentations conducted by 688 CW command leadership
2: Knowledge of military command structure, mission programs, organizational relationships, program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events, milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
3: Knowledge of personal computer equipment, internal computer processes, and software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TMT, audio recording software, graphic editing software, and other standard office automation software.
4: Skill in fact-finding techniques to gather, verify, and analyze information for the purpose of writing and editing materials such as scripts, talking points, bullet background papers, reports, speeches, etc.
5: . Skill in communicating effectively with tact and diplomacy, both orally and in writing, to advocate for agency positions; to recommend responses to criticism of the agency's function or performance; to explain programs, functions, and activities, gain understanding of the organization's efforts, and maintain good relationships and interactions logically and effectively.
6: Ability to manage several priorities, prioritize key products, adjust workload priorities and schedules as needed. Ability to identify, analyze, and develop alternative solutions to various issues. Able to perform independently to accomplish difficult and complex advisory functions, which are characterized by a great depth, breadth, and variety of program applications and require experience and independent judgment.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
