The primary purpose of this position is to provide proactive, cross-functional, and comprehensive investment strategies to enable strategic and long-term planning for "installation complexes" to support the Air Force and its wide-range of customers at the Combined, Joint, MAJCOM, Installation levels.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Activity Integration Division by developing long term goals and objectives.
Directs, coordinates and oversees work through subordinate supervisors by advising staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters
Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve significant problems that arise
Balances the interest of a variety of clients, both internal and external to the organization, the AF, DoD, and outside agencies to achieve mission goals and objectives
Manages directorate resources, including annual budgets, equipment, and personnel.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-14, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience utilizing comprehensive asset management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively manage a planning & integration program, including project development and execution, training, and advisory services. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of asset management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively supervise planning & integration of Air Force planning guidance, products, and services including project development and execution, training, and advisory services.
Knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting cycles; financial systems and restrictions on expenditure of funds; and standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, both orally and in writing
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
