Duties
You will participate in high level briefs and serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will coordinate and develop standard operating procedures, SOPs. Design and communicate data element translation/crosswalks (CFMS/SABRS to ERP).
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will develop format and content to provide manager with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.
You will ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Applying the proper concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels; 2) Interpreting, assessing, and understanding DON/Command guidance within and across agency lines; 3) Interpreting and analyzing financial transactions and understanding program execution; 4) Developing format and content to provide manager with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations; and 5) Ensuring the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
