About the Position: Serves as advisor to the garrison command group and staff on the integration of near, mid, and long-term programs and the installation strategic plan. This is a full-time, permanent position. Relocation incentive may be authorized.

Duties

Plan, manage, and execute the strategic planning integration functions for the Garrison. Complete coordination with applicable directorates to ensure that the Garrison Command Group and staff have sufficient information to generate the vision for the future. Coordinate and present programmatic status and decisions to the Garrison Commander and the Installation Planning Board. Direct, conduct, and oversee the completion of detailed studies in response to Garrison Commander initiatives. Employ advanced management principles, data compilation, and the development of recommendations to affect current sources, infrastructure, and future requirements.

Requirements

  • Position requires occasional TDY at least 10% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (Secret) clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision SupportPlanning and EvaluatingStrategic ThinkingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
