Duties

Serves as a strategic planning officer directing, integrating, and managing command-wide, top-level, high-visibility efforts related to DA's concepts and initiatives for unprecedented change in its overall core competencies. Independently initiates, leads, and conducts complex research/analysis crossing multiple functional disciplines to assess and evaluate mission alternatives for inclusion in Command-wide strategic plans and studies. Serves as a Command leader in the planning and execution of the DOD/DA munitions mission and industrial base strategic planning.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
• This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time

(2) Implementing, administering and advising leadership on all required parts of the agency strategic plans. (3) Conducting analysis of all strategic guidance, policies and plans at the Command and higher level components. (4) Conducting organizational evaluation and process improvement analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
