The recent graduates program targets individuals who have graduated recently from qualifying educational institutions or programs. To be eligible, applicants must apply within 2 years of degree or certificate completion, except for veterans precluded from doing so due to their military service obligations, who will have up to 6 years after degree or certificate completion. Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, career development program.
Duties
As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Liaison between contracting officers and activities performed at support sites.
Prepares and presents reports/briefings
Advanced skill in writing and oral communications
Knowledge of projects, issues and program goals
Sufficient interactions with mission partners/DISA organizations/industry to advance the goal of the organization
Skill is the business processes and how they align to strategic goals
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
- OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report required within 30 days of appointment pursuant to 5 CFR 2634.903(b) (DoD 5500.7).
- Complete initial qualification requirements to become a COR, and maintains COR qualifications by satisfying regulatory training.
- May require travel away from the normal duty station on an occasional basis.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Who May Be Considered:
Individuals who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years.
OR
Individuals who will obtain a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within 90 days from the date of application. Applicants must provide proof of degree conferral prior to appointment.
OR
Veterans (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who were unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion.
Basic Requirement:
For the GG-05 grade level: Completion of all requirements for a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
For the GG-07 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision after completing a bachelor's degree.
For the GG-09 grade level: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D.
AND
Qualifying Experience:
For the GG-05, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For the GG-05 position, qualifying experience is defined as experience Experience facilitating issues for programs, projects and processes, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For the GG-07 position, qualifying experience is defined as experience Experience with technical program requirements, enabling effective documentation and tracking of status and timelines.
To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For the GG-09 position, qualifying experience is defined as experience Experience with creating metrics for program evaluations, with a strong understanding of service concepts and policies, converting requirements into contract specifications and aligning them with budget constraints.

Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT THE GG-07 LEVEL: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT THE GG-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.
