Duties
Coordinate the educational activities of the program and ensures program compliance with regulatory agency standards and maintains
essential documents required for program viability.
Provide oversight of documents and correspondence needed to maintain favorable accreditation status of the residency program.
Serve as a representative administrator in analyzing internal review process of other training programs to ensure compliance with policy
requirements.
Coordinate proper medical education procedures and provide guidance and information to physicians and residents.
Manage databases to support the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program educational competencies in a multi-institutional training site
environment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with
children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required
to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a
recognized exemption.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify, your resume must demonstrate that you possess at least one year of specialized experience which includes: assisting in conducting a fellowship or residency training program; coordinating training or faculty meetings; and maintaining a database of schedules for residency or continuing education training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
