About the Position: This is a Residency Program Coordinator (Office Automation) position located at the Brooke Army Medical Center in an office setting. Hours: Monday-Friday, 0600 and 1630.
Duties
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on GME program administration.
Provides technical and administrative support in the areas of accreditation, program requirements, and academic records.
Utilize database or spreadsheet software to create, enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve data for reports.
Creates, distributes, and compiles evaluations to ensure completion of rotation evaluation
Maintains academic records for students.
Processes all TDY and leaves for director and residents for programs currently supporting.
Trains new program coordinators and provides ongoing training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 grade level which includes maintaining academic and program files; scheduling interviews and maintaining program calendar; assisting in training new coordinators.

Time in Grade Requirement: : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the NEXT lower grade (or equivalent).
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Education
