You will serve as a Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Security Policy & Programs Branch of the Security Division of the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the organization’s information security program. You will be responsible for ensuring rules and regulations for marking, classifying, declassifying, storage, transportation, transmission of classified material are followed, understood, and known throughout the command. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard data assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, managing security incidents, and continually evaluating and enhancing security posture. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to promote a culture of security awareness and resilience. You will stay current with emerging threats and technologies, driving innovation in security solutions, and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership on INFOSEC matters.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering or coordinating information security programs to develop and implement policies, procedures or protocols for ensuring compliance to current regulations.
