About the Position: Fort Bragg is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fayetteville Regional Airport is located 12 miles outside of Fort Bragg's gates and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 70 miles away.

Duties

Serve as expert analyst to management on programs associated with long range fiscal/program planning in support of an Army Command (ACOM) and major subordinate commands. Act as a C4/IT Resource Manager in all ACOM financial forums. Serve as the internal FORSCOM G-6 budget coordinator.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 25%.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Certification at Level 3.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience in 1) Assisting with the development of year acquisition of federal funds; providing recommendations on the needed organizational goals; 2) Develop quantitative measures to evaluate the status of out year programming; 3) Analyze the changes of the programs being managed; 4) Evaluate the program information requirements as it relates to policies, priorities, costs, funding, and support service requirements; 5) Written communication to develop supporting resources documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityManaging Human ResourcesQuality Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
