You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Department, Maintenance Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
Develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
Assist in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information to achieve program goals and objectives.
Identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e., acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
Develop and review program technical documentation and provide input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements.
Apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
You will develop the Program Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), provide updates as required and conduct annual reviews.
As required, conduct Performance Based Assessments for the operation and maintenance of appropriate elements of the aircraft/modification programs.
Assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
Critically evaluate the causes of support related problems, and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders
Establish a robust total cost of ownership effort and develop affordable readiness initiatives, where appropriate, to reduce life-cycle costs.
Participate in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks.
Assist in the planning and preparation of documentation to support the SPB process.
Support the Degrader Action Cell (DAC) lead by providing required data on top degraders.
Prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation.
Defend necessary modifications to previously approved plans to ensure program objectives are met.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Logistics experience particularly in the area of Logistics Integration; 2) Ability to identify readiness issues, perform evaluation and risk analysis, provide recommendations and decision processes to address current and future sustainment and acquisition strategies; 3) Contracting Officers Representative qualified with previous COR experience, contract management and budget planning; 4) Ability to communicate effectively up and down the chain of command; 5) Resolution and problem solving; 6) Must be able to obtain Advanced LCL Certification within 36 months.
