Duties

Represent the team with management, higher headquarters, Department of the Army and other customers through meetings, briefings and correspondence. Assign work, provide technical advice and guidance, review work, evaluate quality and provide training to team members. Facilitate team meetings to set team goals/objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance, develop plans to improve team performance, and meet customer needs. Manage Integrated Logistics Support of a major weapon system or group of weapon systems during all phases of the life cycle. Coordinate the activities of a multifunctional team which may include Logistics Management Specialists, Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, Technical Writers, and other specialists. Establish management controls to ensure that subordinate groups and teams of the organization plan, program, budget, and execute their respective responsibilities in the assigned logistics, maintenance/supply and readiness programs.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
