Duties
You will perform or advises on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
You will analyze and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty. Develops performance standards and evaluates employee performance.
You will provides technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Skill in identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding; formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly. Ability to lead, supervise, motivate and counsel employees.
