This position will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Duties

The Child and Youth Programs Business Management System (CYPBMS) Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the CYPBMS operations. The primary purpose of this position is to manage electronic record keeping for all DAF installation Child and Youth Program (CYP). Promptly processes inquiries and requests, facilitates efficient communication channels, acts as a central liaison between internal and external customers, and a Subject Matter Expert for CYPBMS execution and maintenance. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the CYPBMS and ensures the program is executed in accordance with applicable and regulatory laws and policies. Provides administrative support to the Air Force CYPBMS serving as the focal point for internal and external customers. Enforces procedures that govern the operation and maintenance of CYPBMS in accordance with DAF policies. Implements program objectives to support program goals, identifying cost-effective management practices, and preparing procedural documents for system application. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically and telephonically. Manages user accounts and access to CYPBMS (DD Form 2875), overseeing enhancements, modifications, and adjustments as needed. Monitors, tracks, and reports statistical data to higher echelons, utilizing reports and metrics for data analytics and decision-making purposes. Conducts analysis on the overall program, making recommendations for unresolved issues and performing follow-up as needed. Addresses accounting and financial issues impacting child and youth programs and CYPBMS, coordinating with installations to ensure accounting accuracy. Receives and responds to live phone and email inquiries using fully automated capabilities of myFSS (customer service support ticketing system), assisting customers with document verification and system control sheets. Maintains current knowledge of procedures, policies, and directives to provide accurate information to internal and external customers. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Answers supervisor's questions on overall work operations. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years.

  • This position may require incumbent to train and guide CYP personnel.
