Duties
The Nanoscale Device Characterization Division (NDCD) transforms nano- and atom-scale technologies by advancing measurement science and fundamental knowledge. The Division's mission is to develop and advance the measurement and knowledge infrastructure to characterize nano- and atom-scale engineered materials and solid-state devices for innovation in information processing, sensing, and future quantum technologies.
You will serve as a Group Office Manager in one of the Division's technical groups. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Managing multiple calendars and scheduling meetings;
Administering Time and Attendance;
Arranging travel and preparing travel documents;
Purchasing /procuring office supplies, equipment and services;
Onboarding new employees and associates;
Preparing/reviewing documents, reports and correspondence;
Following established office procedures;
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
- Suitable for Federal employment
- Must meet time-in-grade/band requirements, as applicable

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level (ZS-II at NIST). Specialized Experience is defined as experience utilizing administrative/clerical skill and automated systems to process time and attendance, make travel and conference arrangements, manage multiple calendars, review correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, and enter and retrieve data; responding to non-technical requests for information; and maintaining office filing systems.
