You will serve as an EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND SERVIES SPECIALIST in the Administration Department of NAVENPVNTMEDU 2 NORFOLK.

Duties

You will have oversight over various projects in equipment management, general facility management, and physical security program management. You will maintain a comprehensive inventory of government owned or leased equipment including capitalized personal property. You will plan, procure, receive, property accounting, installation, inventory and disposal of government equipment. You will maintain complete and current records of non-expendable property in applicable systems. You will serve as the single point of contact for facilities management and support within the command. You will provide facilities Information technology support, building security to include installation, operations, management, and maintenance such as troubleshooting, consistent with the mission, goals, and objectives of the unit’s strategic plans.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • The incumbent must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience monitoring and inspecting facilities, having oversight of in/ outside building infrastructures to manage personnel property and equipment in accordance with established facility methods and practices. Experience with service and work contracts to collaborate with vendors on investigating facility issues, maintaining service/repair of equipment, and recommending solutions to ensure efficient installation operations. Experience managing projects supporting facilities maintenance and physical security to independently exercise discretion and sound judgement to safeguard personnel, installations, and equipment to meet mission objectives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
