About the Position: This position is with the Fort Carson Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, Training Division, Range Control Branch, Operations Section.
Duties
Determine solutions to work problems presented by subordinate staff or training complex users.
Review grievances of subordinates while taking necessary action on ensuring disciplinary problems are resolved.
Manage the employee hazardous environmental pay program.
Develop performance standards ensuring the work of the subordinates is evaluated.
Requirements
- Requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- TDY is 25%.
- Heavy lifting up to 55lbs.
- Must be in possession and able to maintain a valid drivers.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the operations and maintenance of a multipurpose training range complex to include, training support, material control, quality assurance, facility support, range security and technical business over-sight of a range. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
