About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.
Duties
Brief Commanders on all Human Resource matters within the organization.
Coordinate with higher and subordinate organizations in matters dealing with Human Resources.
Responsible for all correspondence emanating from the organization, ensures they are grammatically correct and timely.
Serve as the organization’s civilian Human Resources point of contact for the organization.
Maintain organization strength documents and submit Request for Personnel Actions (RPA) requisitions as require.
Monitors processing and tracks progress of personnel action activities.
Processes Personnel actions concerning battalion personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of10% of the time.
- This position requires the Incumbent to lift 25lbs.

Specialized Experience: In-service applicants, Applicants with current or prior permanent Federal service must possess one year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support, records management, managing timecards, managing calendars, maintaining an organization's strength documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05)
