About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the US Intelligence & Security Command, 706th Military Intelligence Group located at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Overseeing the hiring process for Army civilians, including monitoring and processing related administrative actions.
Serving as the subject matter expert for personnel policy and procedure, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Managing pays and processing timecards for both military and civilian personnel.
Acting as the principal technical reviewer for complex personnel actions affecting the command’s readiness and welfare
Planning and implementing administrative actions and programs, managing publications, and preparing policy letters and SOPs.
Conducting inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient processing of evaluation reports and personnel actions.
Maintaining accurate databases for military and civilian personnel information.
Handling policy actions for Officer Evaluation Reports and Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Reports, ensuring compliance with policie
Monitoring promotion and selection programs, analyzing data, and making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information
(SCI).
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 15% or less of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
