About the Position: You will serve as a U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC) action officer for implementation of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) programs.

Duties
Utilize FOIA/PA to ensure documents requested are able to be released in accordance with law.
Develop case files for each request for proper documentation according to organizational guidelines to support the mission.
Conduct research on new and updates U.S. Operational Codes to ensure most up to date codes are used to help support overall mission.
Utilize knowledge of Law Enforcement activities, procedures, investigative techniques and policies.
Interpret legislation regarding the release of information and represent the Command in subject matter issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Required to complete a SF-312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (DA).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level which includes, but is not limited to: ensuring timely and accurate processing of disclosure requests; consult with legal counsels to resolve conflicting issues; develop case files for each request; and provide recommendations for appropriate actions on each request made.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement
