You will serve as a Senior SharePoint Farm Administrator in the Navy Information Forces, IT Operations Department ofHOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER.

Duties

You will operate and maintain the SharePoint Farm and other SharePoint presence: apply patches and updates for the OS, SharePoint, and 3rd party applicants. You will develop, test, and implement configuration changes; create documentation for administrative procedures and security requirements. You will analyze various GOTS and COTS software and advises on the acquisition of software to support the SharePoint environment. You will assist the SharePoint Site Collection Administrators and Developers with the development and maintenance of automated business processes. Utilizes Industry, IC, and DOD standards and best practices for SharePoint operations and maintenance. You will apply project management principles, practices, and methods to plan, initiate, and manage complex IT projects in support of these duties. You will maintain expert level of proficiency with SharePoint functionalities and features, helper applications and locally designed and built software applications. You will assist in the development of junior/entry level SharePoint Farm Administrators. You will analyze, projects future needs and plans for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 45 level II within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: 1. Serves as Senior SharePoint Farm Administrator responsible for a wide variety of SharePoint operations and maintenance actions to support mission requirements 2. Provides Tier III support for the SharePoint environment, resolving unique, complex issues escalated through Tier I and II personnel. 3. Develops and documents resolutions for other issues; converts to standardized responses for Tier II personnel. 4. Oversees and carries out SharePoint farm maintenance; applies patches and upgrades; analyzes, monitors and improves server performance. 5. Conducts quality control activities to ensure the SharePoint farm and its contents meet the highest standards of quality and service, ensuring alignment with critical agency priorities.
