You will serve as a Cybersecurity Workforce Supervisor developing cyberspace workforce plans, strategies, and guidance. You will make decisions that impact the resources (people, budget, materials) of the work unit and ensure the technical quality and timeliness of the work produced by the employees in the unit. This position is located within the Information Technology Branch Department of FARRAGUT TAC/ONI HQS SPT DET in Suitland, Maryland.
Duties
You will develop cyberspace workforce plans, strategies, and guidance to support cyberspace workforce manpower, personnel, training, and education requirements.
You will address changes to cyberspace policy, doctrine, materiel, force structure, and education and training requirements.
You will perform tasks that involve planning, assigning, and monitoring the work of the unit.
You will manage and appraise employee and organizational performance; resolve employee complaints; and support the development of employees.
You will develop and manage Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) travel, training, supply, and external assistance budget.
You will manage highly complex information technology (IT) projects and lead IT projects for the organization.
You will oversee and provide technical assistance to employees for the acquisition of major systems and ensure information technology (IT) systems meet the organization’s IT requirements.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- Occasional travel required.
- This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/CSWF position.
- Must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned as delineated in Appendix 4 of SECNAV M-5239.2.
Qualifications
Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the competencies listed above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Supervise information technology (IT) personnel to verify activities (e.g., testing, installation, troubleshooting, design, analysis) in support of organizational mission are accomplished;
Identify information technology (IT) capability gaps to recommend solutions that are interoperable with existing architecture and align with organizational business requirements;
Negotiate problem resolutions with resource providers and project sponsors to resolve issues impacting information technology (IT) project schedule, cost, or scope
Prepare and present briefings and findings regarding information technology (IT) project areas to senior leadership.
