About the Position: Serves as senior staff coordinator and recognized senior authority/subject matter expert for Army Readiness Programs to include employment readiness, relocation readiness, sponsorship, citizenship and immigration services, financial readiness, Army Emergency Relief, Army Volunteer Corps, Army Family Action Plan, Army Family Team Building, Master Resiliency training, Survivor Outreach and Mobilization and Deployment/Stability Support Operations programs.
Duties
Develop Army policies and procedures for Readiness Programs.
Determine the type and scope of procedural guidance needed by ACOMs and installation personnel to successfully implement ACS programs.
Make decisions and recommendations that change, interpret or develop important public policies and programs.
Monitor trends and changes in related policies, programs, objectives and procedures of Congress, DOD, HQDA, the other service branches and Federal and State agencies to determine impact on programs.
Use independent judgment in assuring efficient program development, effective program management and accomplishment of essential planning, coordination and integration.

- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes development of Army policies and procedures for Army Readiness Programs to include employment/financial/relocation readiness, sponsorship, Army Emergency Relief (AER), Army Family Action Plan, Master Resiliency training and Mobilization and Deployment/Stability Support Operations programs. Effective use of Army wide Army Community Service (ACS) resources, exercising program leadership for organizations and for ensuring complete, effective, efficient, operational, and policy formulations for the Readiness and ACS Programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
