About the position: Information, Tickets, and Travel (ITT), Kirtland AFB, NM.
This position will be filled as a Regular Full Time employment category, guaranteed 35.0 hours per week. Regular Full Time employees may be eligible for benefits such as Medical/Dental, Group Life, 401(k), and AFNAF Retirement.
Regular tour of duty for this position will be Monday-Friday 0815 - 1715. Occasional evenings for evening tours.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to provide management and oversight for the Information, Tickets, and Travel (ITT) Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall management, supervision, and efficient operation of the ITT Office.
Plans for and provides oversight for commercial reservations, tour packages, discount ticket programs, and other related recreational trips.
Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of leisure travel information and referral services for both individual and group customers. Develops group tours and works with on- and off-base recreational facilities and attractions to ensure a wide variety of tickets and services are available to meet the desires of the base population.
Acts as liaison with partner agencies, and assists with initiating, negotiating, and renewing contracts. Performs full range of supervisory duties for subordinate ITT employees.
Plans work, sets work schedules, enters/approves timecards, approves leave, implements standards and evaluates performance.
Manages the workplace, trains staff, and recruits as necessary.
Prepares marketing plans and requests, and provides timely and accurate information on trips, tickets, and other offerings to the marketing office for advertisement to the base populace through FSS marketing channels including website, social media pages, and monthly marketing magazine. Implements higher level directives, formulates and recommends procedures and programs, and trains subordinate employees on proper office and sales procedures.
Reviews and analyzes historical sales and financial data to maintain proper inventory levels of attraction tickets and promotional materials, as well as provide input for monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets to ensure appropriate cost of sales, cost of labor, and meeting AF financial goals.
Develops operating goals and objectives in accordance with AF guidance and standards.
Receives, counts, and verifies daily cash receipts. Responsible for the NAF Purchasing Card charges and proper processing procedures.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining an internal control system to safeguard ticket inventories, funds accountability, and NAFI property. Ensures implementation of opening and closing procedures, and trains new employees on proper procedures.
Maintains a clean and orderly working environment and professional appearance and uphold standards with subordinate employees.
Reviews and resolves customer complaints or refers more technical matters to supervisor.
May act as a tour guide for local tour groups, including operating one or more motor vehicles to include light trucks, sedans, and vans on and off the installation.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to have a valid, current state driver's license, or the ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to apply principles, methods, and techniques of planning recreational activities and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
General travel industry knowledge and experience including processing reservations through a software program or travel system.
Two years of on-the-job experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform leisure and travel duties is preferred.
Position requires well-developed knowledge of computers and operating software.
Must possess skill and tact in dealing with the public.
Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Position may require an irregular tour of duty.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
