You will serve as an AIRCRAFT DATA TECHNICIAN in the OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGEMENT DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will act as the Commanding Officer’s designated representative responsible for the custody and control of the logs and records for all aircraft/equipment worked at FRC East. You will process, update and maintain a library of current technical directives and publications and develop a means of monitoring input of technical directives pertaining to aircraft and equipment. You will compile, input and retrieve data pertaining to technical directive incorporation on aircraft and equipment. You will maintain data pertaining to aircraft/equipment repair and overhaul.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting preliminary screening, updating and closeout of records; and determining accuracy and completeness; 2) Screening component record cards to determine possible service life expiration during repair which would adversely affect the aircraft and equipment safety mission capability, operational reliability or delay its return to the custodian; 3) Coordinating with the reporting custodian and the CMIS Repository to obtain missing and/or incomplete data; 4) Reviewing applicable bulletin and change configuration data to determine the extent of technical directive compliance; 5) Preparing required work documents based on the evaluation of the logbook records; 6) Providing notification to various internal and external organizations on the receipt and transfer of aircraft and equipment.
