You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will analyze, monitor, and develop recommendations of the effective distribution of Navy cargo by Department of Defense (DOD) Shippers, receivers, contractors, inventory control points, procurement offices, and system planners worldwide.
You will provide analysis relative to problems and recommend solutions to higher authority.
You will work independently or with other team members to investigate problem areas of the supply chain, gather the necessary data, and conduct root cause analysis to determine what the problem is.
You will work on analysis projects which can include the scope of stock positioning, transportation, and any relevant financial implications associated with these functions.
You will produce and present reports to NAVSUP WSS management on supply chain metrics and project actions and milestones.
You will recommend new or revised plans, policies and procedures, changes to instructions and regulations covering various logistics support subject areas.
You will utilize Microsoft Office suite applications with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in all disciplines of logistics (e.g., money, manpower, material, facilities, and services), transportation, distribution operations and systems (e.g. IGC, ISDDC, DSS, Syncada, Birdtrack, SAS, etc.) in order to identify deficiencies, develop solutions, and assess the overall impact of planning and development activities. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following:
Applying comprehensive knowledge of DoD distribution management with emphasis on DoD supply, transportation, and distribution systems and processes.
Utilizing OneTouch system to conduct research at the requisition, Transportation Control Number (TCN) and National Stock Number (NSN) level to obtain inventory stock on hand and status reports.
Utilizing Integrated Mission Support for Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (ISDCC) system to conduct research and perform transportation and distribution analysis as needed.
Utilizing DLA'S Distribution Standard System (DSS) to conduct research and perform transportation and distribution analysis as needed by leadership and global customers.
Preparing and presenting presentations and written reports to all levels of personnel.
Extracting data from various logistics systems to perform root cause analysis to identify transportation bottlenecks, available inventory deficiencies, or other logistical shortfalls and develop solutions to such shortfalls.
