About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Al. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Coordinate in person all training requirements in support of all scheduled instruction and graduation requirements. Research a variety of regulatory guidance, resources, and equipment requirements for determining training needs and the applicability of training resources. Interpret a variety of regulatory guidance. Develop course completion certificates and additional skill identifier (ASI) files.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Shift work and/or weekend work may be required based on the training mission.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) maintaining a training schedule for an organization and 2) using an automated training system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
