About the Position: Plans, coordinates, and supervises activities involving input and distribution of trainees into Initial Entry Training. Monitors and influences day-to-day training base fill operations using the Army Training requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), Automated Training and Accountability System (ATACS), Army Training Management System (ATMS), and various other computer systems.

Duties

Serves as a Training Requirements Analyst with the responsibility of monitoring class schedules and managing distribution and fill for all training seats. Ensure compliance with training requirements identified in the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT). Act as the organization’s point of contact for designated schools in all matter pertaining to course input, readjustments, cancellations, and/or fill rates. Responsible for performing training data collection and statistical analysis in support of Structured Manning Decision Review (SMDR), Training Resource Arbitration Panel (TRAP), etc. Conducts detailed studies of MCoE's current and historical training operations and trends and interprets these report findings to MCoE leadership and higher headquarters. Serves as the Ft. Benning subject matter expert and primary trainer for Army Training Management System (ATMS) and Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS).

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves training analysis and strategy development; providing training management support; and coordinating training requirements programming on all training programs and requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Ph.D in Education or Ed.D. in Workforce Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Classroom ManagementData Collection and AnalysisEducation and Training Program AdministrationTraining Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
