About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to administer the Security Assistance Training Program (SATP) for international military students at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC), Fort Moore, Georgia. The SATP program encompasses US Military training assistance.
Duties
Provide technical training support to the office by updating required student information databases and training programs.
Ensure all students are enrolled in the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS).
Ensure the International Student Division (ISD) is following all accreditation standards and that all documents are being maintained in accordance with Army Regulation 25-400-2, The Army Records Information Management System.
Arrange for either classroom instruction or field activities relevant to the DoD FSP Program during gaps and/or restricted periods of training.
Monitor course schedules.
Assist in coordination and oversees and participates in all Field Studies Program (FSP) social events and selected field trips.
Greets all incoming International Military Students (IMS), reviews Invitational Travel Orders (ITO) to ensure accuracy, verifies training and maintains automated student training databases.
Coordinates with training departments regarding scheduling and flow of courses.
Assists the Field Studies Program (FSP) with any budget shortfall and in identifying new FSP events that meet regulatory standards.
Maintains professional relationship and liaison between the training/teaching departments of the supported schools.
Serves as the point of contact for all matter related to the triannual Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS) Inspection.
Serves as the point of contact for the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, Ft Moore, Georgia Security Assistance Training Program to include administration, training modification, training management, and student disposition.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles and a 15-passenger van.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes coordinating visiting personnel arrival requirements and logistical support, updating and maintaining training databases, coordinating training schedules and tracking student security and travel requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires fluency in the English and Spanish language.

Time in Grade Requirement:
For GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-09. To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this job announcement.
