About the Position: Serve as a Supervisor training tech supervises military and civilian Instructional Systems Specialists, Training Specialists, Training Technician, and any other training and education developer personnel assigned to the Brigade headquarters. Performs staff/administrative duties in the planning, development, and management of a comprehensive service school program that provides for individual soldier (officer and enlisted) career development.

Duties

Serve as a Supervisor training tech supervises military and civilian Instructional Systems Specialists, Training Specialists, Training Technician, and any other training and education developer personnel assigned to the Brigade headquarters. Ensure professional military education (PME), Initial Military Training (IMT) requirements are met in accordance with MCoE and Army PME/IMT goals and objectives. Performs staff/administrative duties in the planning, development, and management of a comprehensive service school program that provides for individual soldier (officer and enlisted) career development. Serve as the matter authority on training and leader development goals, concepts, principles, policies, planning, methods, procedures, priorities, and initiatives. Plan and assign work and give advice/counsel or instruction to subordinates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing staff/administrative duties in the planning, development, and management of a comprehensive service school program that provides for individual soldier (Officer and Enlisted) career development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Collection and AnalysisEducation and Training Program AdministrationLeadershipTraining Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
