About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.

Duties

Provide technical training support to the office by updating required student information databases and training programs. Communicate with SATFA and the Security Cooperation Offices (SCO), located in the various countries of the Western Hemisphere that send students to WHINSEC, concerning students’ qualifications, arrivals, departures, and any early returns. Ensure all students are enrolled in ATRRS. Ensure the ISD is following all accreditation standards and that all documents are being maintained in accordance with Army Regulation 25-400-2, The Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Arrange for either classroom instruction or field activities relevant to the DoD FSP Program during gaps and/or restricted periods of training. Monitor course schedules. Assist in coordination and oversees and participates in all FSP social events and selected field trips.

  • 5% TDY is required.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays as requested.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires fluency in the English and Spanish language. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Collection and AnalysisEducation and Training Program AdministrationTeaching AssistanceTraining Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
