About the Position: Serve as the Chief of the Soldier and Family Programs Division.
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-Limited Promotions may be extended to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Establish Department of the Army policies focused on enhancing the quality of Family and Soldier Programs to all Soldiers and Families.
Serve as an expert advisor and consultant on assigned programs and projects to the DPRR Director.
Conduct evaluation of present Army policies for Army Family Programs, Financial Readiness and MWR Programs and Services.
Directly supervise three distinct and diverse branches of civilian personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary business travel up to 20%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in developing regulatory guidance, policy, and/or program requirements, such as: personnel, resources, or funding; Providing oversight of programs to ensure compliance with regulation; assisting with developing congressional testimony and/or presenting executive briefings and speeches; and analyze the effectiveness of programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
