About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, G1 Information Systems HQ SEC in Arlington, Virginia.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Direct the planning, programming and execution of Information Technology support and requirements for all G1 Manpower systems.
Identify contract requirements to manage and resource G1 IT (Information Technology) systems and materials to support the mission and vision.
Brief the resources process to include the performance of command level planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) cycles for automation.
Give advise, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes determining whether contractor performed work meets standards of adequacy necessary for authorization of payment; recommending selections for subordinate positions; developing detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs through the life cycle of the programs/projects; managing short and long range planning activities that include multi-year work plans that are the products of organizational projects/programs; Identifying IT (Information Technology) issues or concerns and brief leadership on solutions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
