You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the AC&R Air Systems Branch Code 252, Auxiliary Systems Division Code 250, Engineering Department Code 200, Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will be responsible for communicating to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
You will be responsible for identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
You will be responsible for training or arranging for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
You will be responsible for preparing reports and maintaining records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
You will be responsible for researching, learning and applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
You will be responsible for performing special engineering analyses and studies in support of Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) for the purpose of developing or evaluating improvements in design, maintenance procedures, material, etc.
You will oversee the MARMC command Sonar Dome Dive scheduling and performing program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Incumbent shall be dive qualified IAW NAVMED P-117 section 15-102 and have an in-depth knowledge of dive safety requirements pertaining to sonar dome dives.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience having an in-depth knowledge of dive safety requirements pertaining to sonar dome dives; Incumbent shall be dive qualified IAW NAVMED P-117 section 15-102.
Experience assisting the C252 Branch Head with tracking of Sonar Dome assessment/inspections scheduled due to the requirements of the Fleet.
Experience initiating contractor requirements prior to CNO availability package lock for technical overhaul and repair of any sonar dome systems to ensure all SDPS work is covered properly.
Experience providing oversight and support to the AC&R/Air Systems Branch Head to various Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract execution statuses and reimbursable funding when applicable.
Experience providing technical assistance for urgent mission-degrading Casualty Reports or similar problems affecting assigned equipment, frequently on TDY, beyond reach of supervisory assistance/guidance, without customary references, and requiring direct communications with ships' officers.
Experience analyzing findings and develop recommendations in the adjustment of program plans, objectives, and resourcing to accommodate changes in a multi-faceted and complex integrated work plan.
Experience applying knowledge of broad engineering principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skill as the recognized expert for SDPS.
