This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

You will serve as the writer of all technical publications for the department. You will work closely with the systems engineers, production engineers, electrical engineers and the lead technical project manager of each project to obtain a clear understanding of how all products operate throughout the life cycle of the product. You will work with the Ocean Engineering Department staff to assess Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products. You will input detailed ILS updates into the appropriate databases and keep technical project managers and the branch manager apprised of ILS project statuses.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

For the GS-12 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical systems engineering expertise (e.g., system interfaces, equipment and design structure) to translate engineering plans, specifications, and drawings into technical instructions or publications used for ship or submarine system repair, overhaul or maintenance projects. For the GS-11 Grade level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical systems engineering expertise (e.g., system interfaces, equipment and design structure) to modify or update technical instructions or publications used for ship or submarine system repair, overhaul or maintenance projects.
