You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the WEAPON AND SENSOR INSTALLATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as a Technician Team Lead (Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Manager).
You will provide project management for the government and contractor teams.
You will provide technical assistance to initiate, fund, plan, coordinate, schedule, manage, and oversee the successful accomplishment of all Alterations/Ship Changes on-board Naval Ships.
You will coordinate the group's effort and act as the Group Senior Technician to achieve the goals of the assigned task(s).
You will develop and maintain an AIT Manager's Quality Assurance Program to ensure AIT compliance with specified technical and quality requirements and ensure all Quality Management System requirements are met.
You will carry, launch, and deliver specific items such as missile, fire, control system, launcher, gun systems, release and control, radar, simulations or trainers, and control of all interfaces across all ship combat and/or weapons systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS 11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing electrical engineering test events and resources to evaluate system readiness or resolve issues impacting the installation or modernization of shipboard combat systems.
