You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will be responsible for supporting the Total Ship Test Program for Amphibious ship availabilities. You will serve as the Combat System Project Engineer (CSPE) Team Lead for In-Service Amphibious Assault Ships and will provide technical expertise for the installation, system integration, test/evaluation, and corrective maintenance. You will provide expert-level technical services related to the Integration, Test and Evaluation and Life-cycle Engineering and Logistics support of In-Service Amphibious Assault Ships, their Combat and Weapons Sytems and related support equipment. You will ensure the accuracy of technical tasks assigned to each availability and that planned actions and associated reports are accomplished accurately and within scheduled time frames. You will provide technical expertise for the installation, test/evaluations, training, certification and trials, software delivery, preventative and corrective maintenace and in-service support.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing electrical engineering test events and resources to evaluate system readiness or resolve issues impacting the installation or modernization of shipboard combat systems.
