You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the CVN INTEGRATION BRANCH, WITHIN THE AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION, IN THE MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as the Aircraft Carrier Readiness Operations Center (CVN ROC) Manager for NSWC PHD in support of Commander Naval Air Forces, Atlantic (CNAL). You will analyze, interpret, formulate and enforce processes and policy as it relates to the repair, maintenance and modernization of the Atlantic fleet aircraft carriers. You will establish program objectives and long-range plans to ensure the aircraft carrier force is kept materially ready and readiness policies and practices are implemented. You will monitor and maintain readiness in support of CNAL aircraft carriers and perform program management and analytical duties with formulation, justification, submission, and execution of the CNAL ship readiness operations. You will develop readiness program policies and provide expert advice on the methods and analysis tools that can better define and more easily show overall aircraft carrier readiness status to senior Navy leadership.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and interpreting policy related to aircraft carrier repair, maintenance and modernization by formulating and implementing operational process recommendations to meet ship readiness requirements.
