About the Position: This is a permanent position as a Logistics Management Specialist (CBRNE). This position is located with US Army Central G36 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Section, Shaw AFB, SC. Telework information: Situational Telework Only, Including emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed unscheduled telework.

Duties

Assists in the development of policy guidance for all areas of Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear, and High Yield Explosive (CRBNE) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) equipment Serves as the primary advisor for management of subordinate command readiness reports. Provides advisories to leadership on regulatory compliance regarding logistics operations. Performs the reporting of metrics used in evaluating the accomplishment of agencies goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Business travel up to 25% of the time.
  • This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. The incumbent shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
