About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Logistics Management Specialist position with U.S. Army Central, G4 HQ Section at Shaw AFB, SC.
Duties
Advises the Commanding General and subordinate commands on all logistics matters.
Presents USARCENT requirements and the command position on priorities to the Army Joint Logistics Enterprise.
Monitors, reviews, and determines whether the contractor's performance is in compliance with terms and conditions of the contract specifications and inspects all work for full compliance with contract requirements.
Performs inspection of delivered supplies or services and certifies receipts for payment purposes.
Develops and promulgates policy and guidance pursuant to the evaluation and monitoring of the readiness status and mission requirements of the force.
Initiates corrective action ensuring that all defects and omissions are corrected or completed, and that the contractor provides formal proposals for contemplated changes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Special Sensitive/SCI clearance required.
- Pre-employment and random thereafter drug testing required.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 50% of the time required.
- This position has been designated and Emergency and Mission Essential.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) applying logistic regulations, policies, principles, and procedures in support of a supply program; 2) utilizing a wide range of qualitative and /or quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and processes; and 3) developing and integrating logistics management technology applications that improve logistics processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
