About the Position: This is a permanent Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with US Army Central G4 HQ Section located at Shaw AFB, SC.
Duties
Serves as a first-line supervisor, responsible for supervising a staff of military, civilian, and contractors by providing direction, guidance, and assignments.
Provides organizational and sustainment program input to the plans process.
Serves as the logistics subject matter expert on a Command-level planning team responsible for the analysis, development, and review of unique, compartmentalized operational plans.
Participates in all phases of the Military Decision-Making Process and plan development where required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Special Sensitive/SCI clearance required.
- Pre-employment and random thereafter drug testing required.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) required up to 50% of the time.
- One-year employee probationary period may be required if not already completed IAW 5 CFR criteria.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required if not already completed IAC 5 CFR criteria.
- This position requires you to obtain completion of the Army' Intermediate-Level Education/Command and General Staff Officer's Course/ Civilian Education System Advanced Course within one year of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing, evaluating and analyzing logistics programs and/or operations; 2) advising on logistics related orders, plans and activities relating to sustainment projects and programs; and 3) experience overseeing/assigning the work of subordinates and/or contractors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
