This position is located in Everglades National Park, in the Administration Division.

Duties
The incumbent serves as an Equipment Management Specialist, providing operational guidance and professional support for life-cycle asset management including the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles, vessels, equipment, and other fleet assets for one or more National Park Service (NPS) units.
Maintains an inventory of fleet including all rolling/floating stock. Ensures that monthly mileage data is entered into the Financial Business Management Systems (FBMS) for all GSA and park-owned fleet.
Organizes and manages annual fleet inventory inspections in coordination with park staff and supervisors.
Works closely with property management staff regarding inventory and license plate management.
Facilitates approval, preventive maintenance scheduling, accident/repair servicing, budget development, tracking and oversight, and related administrative functions for GSA fleet.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: providing operational guidance and professional support for life-cycle asset management, including acquiring, maintaining, and disposing of vehicles, vessels, equipment, and other fleet assets. This involves 1. Requesting more than 10,000 gallons of fuel yearly, coordinating fuel contracts, and maintaining records to approve fuel purchases.2. Managing fleet credit cards, vehicle accidents, and the acquisition and disposition of license plates. 3. Handling data related to fleet replacement and preventive maintenance services and ensuring it is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's technical manuals, vehicle warranty requirements, and applicable regulations. You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related to position. You must include transcripts.

Combination: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take education percentage. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an
accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.

education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
