You will serve as a LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTEMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will assist in the assignment of work based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty, and requirements of the assignments and capabilities of the employees.
You will review, assess, and resolve complex and diverse (e.g. multistory, multi-trade, multiple technologies) construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned.
You will review and process contractor submittals including progress schedules, safety plans, quality control plans, and utility outage requests
You will be responsible for the training, professional development, and work allocation of the TWG Engineering Technicians (ET's).

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Plan and provide scope documents for electrical maintenance, modification, construction, and repair projects. 2.) Performing quality assurance on electrical projects. 3.) Ability to shape shop policy and technical practices. 4.) Leading others in performing technical engineering assignments, construction quality management, quality assurance planning, quality control, project partnering, environmental requirements, cost estimating, and construction safety practices.
