Duties
Responsible for all matters pertaining to Future Operational / Contingency plans, operations, and exercises supporting U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), and Department of the Army in relation to the Pacific Theater.
Perform a variety of senior supervisory duties and analytical responsibilities in support of USARPAC’s Operations across the assigned area of operation (AOR).
Provide continuity and professional advice and assistance in mission accomplishment over the wide spectrum of responsibilities.
Responsibilities include future plans and operations, contingency operations, Homeland Defense, Defense Support to Civil Authorities planning, Noncombatant Evacuation Operations, and Global Force Management.
Assist in establishing the overall G35 objectives and accomplishing assigned missions.
Provide necessary continuity in the direction and control of G35 planning, operations, and programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
- position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Overtime may be required on short notice.
- Shift work may be required on a 24/7 basis and also may be necessary during exercises, crises, or contingencies.
- Incumbent may be required to temporarily work extended and irregularly tours of duty to include days, nights, shifts and weekend.
- Incumbent must be medically and psychologically fit for exercises.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
