Duties
Responsible for providing expert technical and analytical advice relating to the program management of contracting activities and related procurement strategies.
Maintain awareness of the Command’s requirements and to give expert advice, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Uphold standards and processes within the contracting activities undertaken by the command.
Conduct evaluations in support of the command strategic goals and in support of the organization’s budget formulation and execution.
Provide information on the impact of alternative strategies, identify cost savings, institute performance measures and management processes that monitor performance, quality of deliverables and return on investment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience managing or overseeing an organizations contracting activities; developing performance work statements, acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, and/or contract documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
