Duties

Provide and obtain a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command (8TSC) G3. Serve as Deputy Chief and Executive Officer to the O-6 level Assistant Chief of Staff (ACofS), G3. Act with full authority both in conjunction with and in the absence of the ACofS, G3 and within own areas of responsibility. Perform responsibilities to ensure all program and policy matters pertaining to Army/Joint Operational-level sustainment within the USINDOPACOM AOR are implemented and that organizational objectives are achieved. Represent and reports to the ACofS, G3, 8TSC Chief of Staff (CofS), and 8TSC Commanding General (CG) at meetings and speaks with full authority in the ACofS, G3’s absence.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
  • Ability to possess a current and valid passport required.
  • This position requires the employee to have a current valid state driver’s license.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, shift work, evenings, weekends and or holidays.
  • Temporary Duty travel in excess of 25% may be required to locations in both CONUS (U.S.) and OCONUS (overseas) and to travel on military transport. These trips may be in developed areas or remote and austere areas.
