About the Position: Serves as the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Garrison Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) Transition Services Manager (TSM) at USAG Army Garrison, Fort Drum, NY.
Duties
Responsible for managing resources, advising installation tenant units, marketing the program, and providing Alternate Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR) oversight of the Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) contract.
Ensures timely and efficient delivery of SFL-TAP services to transitioners, i.e., separating/retiring Soldiers, DA Civilians and their family members.
Authors SFL-TAP local installation policy guidance that implements Army SFL-TAP policies and procedures for approval by the Director of Human Resources and Deputy to the Garrison Commander.
As Transition Services Manager, serves as the primary installation advisor to the Director of Human Resources, Deputy to the Garrison Commander, garrison staff members, and tenant commanders for all SFL-TAP related issues.
Acts as ombudsman for transitioning personnel.
Serves as an Alternate Contracting Officer Representative for HQDA SFL-TAP using contract evaluation criteria provided.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing transition assistance to service members departing military service, veterans, and family members; analyzing data to evaluate transitional program services; coordinating workshops/seminars to promote transitional programs; and using automated systems to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
