You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will serve as the Corporate Operations Department Operations Manager, providing department leadership internal and external to the organization.
You will assist the Department Head and Deputy Department Head to bridge the functions of the organization with the larger purpose and vision of NSWC Corona.
You will effectively communicate across the Department and throughout the Command, as well as with outside organizations.
You will promote and communicate higher level programmatic initiatives, working closely with the Department management team to collaborate, train, capture feedback, and continuously improve related operations and business processes.
You will effectively communicate up, down, and across the Command.
You will represent the Department at meetings to include the Command Action Meeting, Facilities Review Board, etc.
You will ensure the coordination and execution of assigned projects are carried out through completion, while initiating and ensuring efficient and effective coordination of follow-up actions.
You will assist leadership with preparation for internal and external inspections, including drumbeat meetings, and monitors, tracks and provides periodic reports on the resolution of open Command and Department taskers or inspection findings.
You will assist managers in developing project execution plans, managing projects, documenting key processes, and capturing lessons learned.
You will coordinate with Department Subject Matter Experts to identify key measures and initiatives that enhance organizational performance and document efforts to reduce costs.
You will provide positive leadership and is a role model to the workforce while proactively building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
You will teach, mentor, and motivate employees while looking for opportunities to improve performance and remove barriers to change.
You will recognize successful performance, provide constructive feedback, and take timely administrative action when required.
You will encourage innovation and personal growth while promoting a shared vision of the organization, fostering cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups across the command.

Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading departmental operations and facilitating organizational alignment to ensure effective communication, foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in order to support departmental and command initiatives and enhance organizational performance and efficiency.
