Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Lead Realty Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.
Duty Location: Sacramento, California
Duties
Participates in the development of environmental compliance documents through activities such as conducting environmental analyses, participation on work teams developing and reviewing content.
Coordinates the preparation and review of required planning and environmental documents and tracks the progress to meet the schedule deadlines.
Coordinates with Reclamation's Denver Policy Office to resolve potential environmental compliance policy concerns, oversees required informational materials and briefings for projects.
Plans, organizes, and directs the work of Division realty staff and furnishes technical assistance and review of work for competence and accomplishment of assignments.
Develops and implements short-range plans for the Realty Team in the areas of technical development and work needs to ensure the Regional Realty work requirements are being met.
Encourages cooperation, independence, and synergistic problem solving. Coordinates with other teams, supervisors, and managers, as needed. Resolves controversy related to the technical work with other Reclamation organizational units, outside agencies, or team leaders.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors).
Examples of specialized experience understanding and applying lands and realty legal authorities including regulations, manuals, legal opinions and decisions; working with lands and realty programs associated with resource management in programs such as land acquisitions, exchanges, disposals, withdrawals and/or rights-of-way; working with outside partners and other agencies in land use or acquisition; assisting and supporting lands and realty
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 07/29/2024.
