The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Support Administrator to support the day-to-day operations and management of special projects and programs.
Duties
Performs staff support for the office/organization.
Assists in supporting Commander in priority of efforts, such as, including but not limited to, independently reviewing and providing advisory service in relation to work products and proposals submitted for Commander approval, and various employee management relation matters ensuring practices and strategies are appropriate, consistent and are in compliance with legal procedures.
Performs a wide variety of administrative and analytical support duties in relation to the day-to-day operations of the Commander. Supports the Commander, Directing Officer, and Commander's staff on all matters related to administrative management, administrative concepts, policies, and procedures supporting the Commanders' mission and programs.
Manages and maintains calendars. Serves as the focal point in the communications network to effectively evaluate and maintain surveillance over corporate issues.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). General experience is performing staff support for the office/organization. Ensures accurate and prompt responses are provided. Anticipates follow-up questions and obtains responses from appropriate staff offices. Develops timelines for task completion and sets suspense's to support external and internal review requirements. Aids leadership in developing processes/procedures, assists with resolving critical problems or issues related to project application, and assists with major project functions for the organization using independent research in regulations and relays recommended changes to leadership resulting in decisions made/policy guidance that impact the programs across the organization. .NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT:
The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of administrative support experience to include developing timelines, aiding leadership in developing processes and resolving complex problems related to project application. The candidate should also possess a high level of organization skills, time management skills and experience in preparing, reviewing and presenting information to high-level management officials. Lastly, the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes in conjunction with ability to understand a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more important public programs.
2. ???????In-depth knowledge of staff functions, management concepts, principles and methodologies in order to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions to the Operations Support Squadron issues and to provide definitive input on how proposed changes would be detrimental or would enhance the Center's mission and objectives.
3. ???????Knowledge of the Commander's human resource management mission and functions in order to access administrative requirements and needs in information management areas, and to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of administrative operations throughout the Directorate
???????4.Knowledge of automated systems to create reports and extract data from these systems
???????5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiates complex issues; and maintains professional and diplomatic relationships.
6. Ability to recognize and analyze complex analytical problems, conducts research, gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw conclusions; conduct analysis; devise recommended solutions; and summarize results of the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
